Organisation

Floriade 2012 is organised on the instruction of two other parties:

·         The Netherlands Horticulture Council (NHC) 

The objective of the NHC is to promote the image of the Dutch horticultural sector nationally and internationally and to support the marketing of horticultural produce. The primary instrument in achieving this aim is the World Horticultural Expo Floriade.

·         Regio Venlo 

Regio Venlo is a joint venture of 5 municipalities in North Limburg: Venlo, Venray, Horst aan de Maas, Gennep and Peel en Maas.

The assignment given to the organisers of Floriade 2012 was to:
Organise the first Floriade that is not just a snapshot but forms the motivation for the future dynamics of the green sector in the Venlo region!
