Theme
Horticulture is an important economic engine and supplier of green energy. The sector’s entire supply chain, from product development and logistics functions to applications and contact with end users, will be on display at Floriade 2012. Areas such as bio sciences, life sciences, sustainable energy and the greenhouse as an energy source also fit into this framework. There will be space for the indoor exhibitions in the greenhouse.
Design theme
The Green Engine theme element is inspired by industrial designs, machines and motors. It is also a chance to demonstrate the enormous resilience of nature. Even a tiny crack in the asphalt is enough to allow the first pioneering plants to grow through: Technology and nature in a fantastic pas de deux.
